Melbourne Skyfarm transforms a 2,000 m² rooftop car park in the Seafarer’s precinct into a living urban farm, complete with a farm, education centre, café, and events space. Overlooking the Yarra River and convention centre, it brings nature, community learning, and sustainable design into the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Urban Farm Hub – A rooftop oasis featuring edible native plantings and educational spaces for tours, workshops, and school excursions.
Sustainability Showcase – Built by sustainability-focused companies using water-efficient systems such as Biofilta Foodcubes, demonstrating closed-loop urban agriculture in action.
Produce with Purpose – Harvested produce is donated to OzHarvest, helping improve nutrition, reduce food waste, and address food insecurity.
Green Infrastructure in Action – Helps cool the CBD, provides green space for the community, and inspires visitors through innovative urban design.
Collaborative & Educational – Created in partnership with sustainability experts and community organisations, offering masterclasses, guided tours, and immersive learning programs.
